Project-Based Learning Opportunity for Teachers
Speaking Out and Saving Lives
Project-Based Learning is a teaching method in which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to research and respond to a problem or challenge.
The YOVASO Project will empower students to raise awareness about the number one killer of teens: motor vehicle crashes. Students will research problems and address perceptions to develop a solution.
The YOVASO Project is open to teachers starting March 18, 2019. For The YOVASO Project, your students will explore the issues of traffic safety perceptions and awareness among teens. Working in groups, students will organize and produce Public Service Announcement videos that will promote and deliver traffic safety messages to the school body and members of the community.
Teachers are equipped with a number of resources to guide students in creating a powerful project. Participating teachers will have full access to the lesson planning guide after project registration. To preview our lesson planning guide, click here.
